Our food booth is at 3rd and Campbell in downtown Geneva. Bratwurst, hot dogs, pulled pork, roasted sweet corn, chips and drinks will be served. His inspirational talk told how Rotary activities have motivated and encouraged him through much of his life. Hieu was a RYLA participant and then became a RYLA counselor. | Posted by David Nelson on Mar 23, 2013 Geneva Rotary sponsored a team at the annual Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley (LVFV) Trivia Bee. St. Charles Rotary Noon and Breakfast clubs and Batavia Rotary Club also participated. LVFV provides tutors and learning materials to those wishing to learn or improve their English language skills. Musical theater was this years theme for the Trivia Bee - Linda Williams, Dave Nelson and Chris Reiss were this year's team. They did not win a prize this year but did have the oddest name for their team - -- One Damn Thing After Another -- that is the title of a 1927 musical Joe McMahon and Loy Williams offered moral support and encouragement to the Geneva Rotary participants. |

| Posted by David Nelson on Jan 22, 2013 Scott Prudden a sales and leasing broker for Batavia Enterprises talked to Geneva Rotary about trends in leasing and commercial real estate at its January 22 2013 meeting. Scott indicated that smaller spaces were in higher demand and that many tenants preferred to use 'industrial' type spaces for their offices both for price and for atmosphere. Batavia Enterprises is a commercial and residential landlord, provides real estate management, real estate brokerage and other related services in Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles and the surrounding area. Zambia is located in southern Africa. Amy has been active in the school project both at her college in New York state and with a service trip to Zambia as well. |

Sample dishes prepared by Rotary's best cooks. 60 local men and women will demonstrate their cooking skills when the Geneva Chamber of Commerce presents “30 Men vs. 30 Women Who Cook” to benefit the Geneva History Center, Geneva Lions Club and Rotary Club of Geneva. The event will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Kane County Fairgrounds. Attendees will sample hors d’oeuvres, main dishes, side dishes & desserts made by men and women they know in the community and then vote for their favorite.
