| Posted by Jeff Richards on Oct 22, 2012 The Rotary Club of White Rock Millennium has received approval from Rotary International to change its name. The club is now the ROTARY CLUB OF SOUTH SURREY. The new name will better identify the club with the area it serves and may remove confusion the old name had with other clubs in the area. The South Surrey area has grown tremendously in the past few years and is now clearly identifiable, even the highway signs refer to it. The club’s locality now embraces both the southern portion of the City of Surrey and the adjacent City of White Rock. South Surrey is the area the club has always held its meetings and where the most of our members live and / or work. |
