The Vancouver Rotary Foundation is accepting grant applications from local non-profit organizations for its annual grant cycle.  Grant requests, including all required attachments, must be submitted to the Foundation by June 1, 2013 in order to be considered for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.

The Vancouver Rotary Foundation exists to foster, develop, promote, and encourage the health, education, and general welfare of the residents of Vancouver and Clark County. The Vancouver Rotary Foundation awarded $78,000 in college scholarships to 24 Southwest Washington high school and college students at the Club’s annual scholarship luncheon at the Red Lion Hotel at the Quay on Wednesday, May 9. With the granting of the 2012 scholarships, the organization surpassed the $1 million milestone in scholarships distributed to local students.

The scholarships are granted by the Vancouver Rotary Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Vancouver. Many of the scholarships are made possible through endowments established by individuals. Additionally, the Vancouver Rotary Foundation’s Festival of Trees provides funds.

Scholarship winners were Johnna Gurgel, Ky Viet Ngo, Hope St. John, Connie Hu, Eveling Cabello-Ramirez, Ibette Valle, Kelli Daller, Kathryn DeVore, Katherine Miranda, Josey Sechrist, Tiffany Wood, Josh Ingebretson, N’Diya Pumphery, Tanya Gentry, Jessica Murray, Caleb Ogier, Dena Corby, Margaret Hodges, Dillon LeSieur, Ida Thomas, Gail Weeks, Morgan Parker, Oksana Klimenova and Linda Otton.

The Vancouver Rotary Foundation exists to foster, develop, promote, and encourage the health, education and general welfare of the residents of Vancouver and Clark County. The Vancouver Rotary Foundation first began issuing grants and scholarships in 1973 and is funded by contributions and proceeds from the annual Rotary Festival of Trees.

The Vancouver Rotary Foundation awarded $48,783 in communitygrants at a Club’s luncheon on September 14 at the Red Lion Hotel at the Quay.

 The Vancouver Rotary Foundation is the charitable arm of theRotary Club of Vancouver. Community Programs Fund grants were awarded tonine community organizations:

Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation ($2,000), RiteCare of Washington ($2,195), Affordable Community Environments ($2,500), Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation ($3,000), Community Services Northwest ($6,000), Children’s Center ($6,288), Vancouver School District Foundation ($6,800), YWCA Clark County ($10,000) and Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington ($10,000).
