All members of the Rotary Club of Etowah are Paul Harris Sustaining Members, meaning each gives at least $100 to the Foundation annually.

The status of Paul Harris Fellow is earned when your total giving to the Annual Fund or PolioPlus reaches $1000. A Rotarian can continue to earn Multiple Paul Harris status until reaching the Major Donor level at $10,000.

The Rotary Club of Etowah has eighteen Paul Harris Fellows to its credit. Fourteen active members are Paul Harris Fellows (PHFs): Tinsley Cline, Steve Duvall, Rick Elliott, Jessica Fleetwood, Candler Ginn, Lisa Greeby, Daniel Lochridge, Stewart Manley (PHF+4), Jeff Osborne, James Potts, Lori Pruitt, Matt Santini, Marty Sonenshine, Barbara Terry. Former member PHFs are Don Korkecki (PHF+1), Rae Weimer, Hugo Ribot and Lisa Cash (PHF+1).

Our Club can match an extra contribution you make to the Foundation to move you closer to your Paul Harris Fellowship. Ask Stewart Manley.

Rotary Information: Attendance

Rotary has a reputation for strict attendance requirements and that has discouraged some potential new members. In recent years, through the Council on Legislation, Rotary has made it easier to meet the overall requirement which is to attend or make up 50% of meetings.

There are now a number of options to make up a missed meeting:

Attend an Interact meeting.

Participate in a Club-sponsored service project.

Meet with one of your assigned committees.

Attend a Board meeting.

Read a Rotary tutorial on an Internet Club website.

Rotary wants its members to attend meetings and get involved in Club activities. While many Rotarians strive for 100% attendance, that is a personal goal and not a tough standard set by Rotary. District 6910 gives its Clubs kudos and points for achieving 90% attendance for a Rotary year.

6-21-11  "Hatred and bitterness can never cure the disease of fear; only love can do that.  Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it.  Hatred confuses life; love haromonizes it. Hatred darkens life, love illuminiates it."  Martin Luther King, Jr.
