| Posted by Kathy Burch On Friday, May 3rd the Olean Rotary Club along with the Salamanca and Ellicottville Rotary Clubs held a "Dessert Night" at St. Bonaventure University, Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. Live music was provided by "not Norman" a great band featuring songs from the Beatles and many others. Tickets included viewing of the gallery exhibits, wine, beer, coffee and several dessert options. Fun was had by all by all and the money raised from the event will go towards the Rotary International Polio fund. We would like to thank all those who attended and those of you that donated towards the event. There were some great items that were auctioned off too. If you did not attend this year please try to attend next year as it was a great event. | | Posted by Kathy Burch On February 19th, Senator Catherine Young was the guest speaker at the Olean Rotary Club. There was a total of 54 people present to hear Senator Young speak on "Gaining and Sustaining Jobs in the Greater Olean area". In addition, she did a question and answer with those in attendance after. The Olean Rotary Club presented her with a framed picture of Bill Gates and a donation of $100 in her honor to Polio Plus. Senator Young use to be a member of the Olean Rotary Club so it was wonderful to have her come and speak to the current member along with their guest. | | Posted by Kathy Burch We would like to thank all of those that donated items, purchased tickets, and or sponsored our Pasta Dinner. In addition, the members would like to say thank's to all of the Interact Club members that volunteered that night and the Elk's Club for hosting the event along with the help in the kitchen. The money raised helps us support mini grants and community service projects right here in our community. Come back to our website again to see when next's year dinner will be! | | Posted by Kathy Burch | | Posted by Kathy Burch | | Posted by Kathy Burch | | Posted by Carl R.
