| Posted by Donna Ouellette This year's past president's night was held on April 29th. With 16 of our Past Presidents attending it was indeed a night of fellowship & fun, topped off with a special presentation. This year we learned many interesting facts about our Past Presidents and their year in office, some of our Past Presidents have assisted in making Rotary history, while some have made history of their own. From the start of the Paul Harris Foundation, we have celebrated the entry of women into rotary, celebrated our 50th anniversary charter and the 100th anniversary of Rotary. We have attended many International conferences both overseas and within the United States and we have sponsored a District Governor. As a club we successfully received matching grants for incubators, have grown the Rotary-Rotary, and maintain claims to the first "Hole in One" at a district golf tourney. Won & Rafffled off Superbowl tickets, hosted and sent out exchange students and hosted a group study exchange from India. We became a 501C3 for our Auction. One of our Past Presidents was so happy to be president two days before his installation he had a bonfire in his yard, he just didn't realize it was his shed!!!! And who will never forget (like it or not) Guys in Kilts!!!! We ended our evening with a special presentation or PP Ed Santos as he is the epitome of Service above Self, his sustained committment to our community is impressive, he is a visionary who has helped to make Plymouth what it is today, for this we have given him with the Maximum Citizen Award. |
| Posted by Christopher Dickinson Our 18th Annual Plymouth Rotary Auction 2013 was a BIG Success! Dear Friends of Rotary, On behalf of the Rotary Club of Plymouth, we want to thank everyone for participating in our 18th annual Plymouth Rotary Club TV auction. Once again this year's auction proceeds, generated through your participation and sponsorship, will be prudently managed by the club's management team. These proceeds are directly given back to the community, thanks to you, in support of our local charitable donation requests and school scholarship awards. The Plymouth Rotary TV Auction is an annual event that provides us the opportunity to partner with local resources to make our community and our world a stronger, healthier and better place. | Posted by Donna E. Ouellette The 17th Annual has been deemed a success netting $55,724. from $110,000. in donations. This year we introduced a new web site, new graphic quick shots and a new pick up and pay system, everything comes in threes!
One of the highlights of this years auctions was behind the scenes in the PAC TV kitchen, volunteers were entertained by our own Nancy Richard on Banjo and with the soothing voice of Dinah O'Brien to the tune of whatelse "Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah". the Kitchen was well managed this year by rotarian Jeff Cohen who brought in not one but two professional chef's from the soon to open Aroma restaurant. Rotarians were treated to frest bacon wrapped scallops & Lobster Mac & cheese "yummy".
We are all hoping that Gary Maestas enjoys his new recliner and dinah her chamber pot! Hopefully Jarad will soon someone to share his wedding cake with.
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

| Posted by Donna E. Ouellette The Rotary Club of Plymouth celebrated the holidays by sponsoring "The Polar Express" train ride on Dec 10, 2011. This fun event helped raise money for local groups and charities supported by Rotary and provided kids of all ages with a chance to hear this wonderful story while riding the MBTA train with Santa and his elves. Scores of Rotarians and their family members and friends volunteered to help with this mammoth undertaking, which featured four round-trip train rides from Kingston to Halifax for hundreds of children and adults. Also helping with this holiday celebration were students from the Interact Club and Child Development Program at Plymouth South High School and Silver Lake High School. Many thanks to all those who volunteered to help make this a memorable fundraiser! |
| Posted by Donna E. Ouellette Each year Rotarians from the Rotary Club Of Plymouth (along with their family members) march the parade route and collect donations from the spectators. Monies collected are then handed over to officials from America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration in order to offset parade expenses and keep this 16 year tradition alive for many years to come. Be sure to support your local Rotary Club in this tradition as they help our America's Hometown celebration on November 19th. |

Finucane on Dec 04, 2010 Members of the Rotary Club Of Plymouth, like Jim Finucane, give of their time each Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas to "ring the bell" for the Salvation Army inside the Independence Mall in Kingston. Past President Doug MacLeod has co-ordinated this effort for many years. Thanks Doug! |
