ImageMay 14, 2012 Declared
Ben Craig Day in Overland Park, Kansas

Ben Craig provided a once in a lifetime Rotary program to celebrate his 48 years perfect attendance in Rotary, his work in Overland Park and in our Club.

Surrounded by family, community and Rotary friends, Ben was gracious and humble as Jim Hix announced that going forward the OP Rotary Distinguished Service Award will be designated the Ben Craig Distinguished Service Award.

Mary Birch, Dick Bond and Greg Musil all gave toasts (and roasts). Mayor Gerlach declared May 14, 2012 "Ben Craig Day" in Overland Park.  Rotary Asst. District Governor Moe Cougher awarded Ben an additional Paul Harris Fellowship on behalf of Rotary International, along with many other accolades and toasts from fellow Rotarians and special guests. This special event was co-hosted by Club President Frank Caro and Foundation President Clayton Smith.

Kudos to the planning team including Kate Allen, Jim Hix, Greg Musil, Stan Meyer, Tracey Osborne, Melynn Sight and many other club members.

ImageOMG! You Should Like Us on Facebook!

If you are on Facebook, it's time to "LIKE" our Club! LOL.

Become a fan of us at www.facebook.com/oprotary. IMHO, this is the best place to get all your OP Rotary news and the latest on our members. BTW, Facebook and our website is where future Rotarians will be checking us out. Help us build our following and keep current with all the latest from your OP Rotary Club. It's GR8! (Hope this isn't TMI, but we will TTYL). YIR!

ImageHelp Us Welcome Young Rotary Ambassadors from Around the  World

We are now receiving applications from students in Europe who want to spend their next school year in the United States to better nderstand us and to become proficient in English. Why might you & your family want to participate?

  • You and your children will have the opportunity to learn a new language and culture.
  • You can make life-long friends with the student and their family.
  • You can use this hosting opportunity to understand if such an exchange might be potential for your child.
  • You will meet other exchange students from around the world through your international guest student.

Act today to help with this LIFE CHANGING program for our leaders of tomorrow! There are a limited number of applicants coming to our District and several have already been placed. If you cannot host, plesae forward this message to any friends and neighbors you think might be interested in helping. They do not need to be Rotarians to host. Thanks for your consideration!
