For Larry Steffens, July 31 was more than the date of the Rotary Family Picnic.

Larry spent the day breading chicken, boiling corn and overseeing a crew of cooks and waiters at the picnic at the Rotary Reserve. Joining Larry in the cook area are expert assistants John Beecher, left, and Steve Finnegan.

It was a big day as well for Ken Cutts who celebrated his 70th birthday cooking and taking charge of the games portion of the day.

That was repeated July 31 when David Lee and three friends made the trip in his 1930 shown here. Dave has put the 84-year old car back into great shape.
