Sharing our personal Rotary stories is one of the best ways we can promote Rotary.  This year, using the Rotary International PR Grant, we intend to share your stories with our broader community.

Please plan on participating in Rotary's video testimonial project by coming early or staying later on Tues., Jan. 31 so that Mary Jayne Crocker can video you sharing your Rotary testimonial. (You can sign up for it under the ClubRunner event to the right on this page.)

This is your chance to share with your fellow Rotarians and prospective Rotarians why you are a Rotarian.  These video testimonials can be between :15 seconds and :90 seconds.  We ask that each Rotarian follow the same format of introducing themselves, sharing which club they are in, how many years in Rotary, then share your story or key points.

Everyone had a great time at the first New Member Gathering at Bob Starr's home on Thurs., Nov. 3. New and veteran members shared how they came to join our Rotary club and what interests they hope to pursue within Rotary. Bob Starr and Jane McGinty talked about the ways members can get involved in activities at the club level as well as in the district and internationally. The next New Member Gathering will be held at Jane McGinty's on March 19 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Sign up through ClubRunner Events on the right.

Mary Jane Crocker, sponsored by Jane McGinty, has attended Rotary meetings in the past with her son, Charlie, who was a Rotary-sponsored exchange student from Eden Prairie High School to Italy. She also attended as host parent for Oscar, last year's Rotary exchange student from Spain. She’s active in the community and works as vice-president of communications at Bridgewater Bank in Bloomington. She and her husband live with their three children in Eden Prairie.   Mary Jane was inducted on Oct. 18.

  Jeff Gillis, a senior portfolio manager with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in their Wayzata offices, has been involved with a number of community activities such as Boy Scouts, soccer coaching, delivering Meals on Wheels and mentoring programs for youth . Jeff was sponsored by Dick Ward who is a neighbor to Jeff, his wife and three children in Eden Prairie. He was inducted on Oct. 4.
