"I cannot begin to tell you the depth if the anguish up here.  In Hoboken, throughout  District 7500 in Monmouth and Ocean counties, in Atlantic City, on Coney  Island in Brooklyn and Breezy Point in Queens, everything has been washed  away. Hoboken is still flooded.  Secaucus had to be evacuated from water up to (people’s) chest. In many places, there is simply nothing left but silt and sand. Gas for generators and cars is very scarce. Stores are closed all over. Residents of Moonachie and Little Ferry were awakened at 2 am when water from a broken levee burst into their homes."   Excerpt of email requesting Rotary Assistance from Bonnie Sirower, Governor, Rotary District 7490,  (Bergen, Passaic and Hudson Counties, NJ, USA)Image
