With support from the Islam Foundations, the East Bremerton Rotary Foundation  awarded scholarships to nine Olympic High students. Those honored were:

True Loan $1,000 for each of the first and second year of school
Emily Mowry $1,000 for each of the first and second year of school
Johnathan Estacio $1,000 for each of the first and second year of school
Jeffrey Yenko $1000 for first year
Joel Gesicki $1000 for first year
Chase Kelly $1000 for first year
Taylor Bird $1000 for first year
Kaitlyn Grose $1000 for first year
Raffy Magbanua $1000 for first year

Thanks to  Scholarships Committee members Guy Stitt, Tom Brobst, Jerry LeTexier, and Hilary Harter for their work in this very important community project.

Recent disbursements approved by the  EBR Foundation board have gone to:

The Rotary Foundation:  $572 – Polio Plus (on behalf of EBR program speakers)
RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards):  $370 – sent one student to RYLA conference
YWCA:   $1,500 – Alive Shelter

Red Cross:  $500 – Natalie Poss/Bremerton High School Fundraiser to benefit Red Cross
Corey’s Day on the Farm:  $500 (annual event for special needs children)

KACE (Kitsap Adult Center for Education):     $500 – Spelling Bee entry fee for EBR team
