The Rotary Club of South Hill Puyallup will again have premium parking available for the duration of the Western Washington State Fair, formerly The Puyallup.    Fair dates are Friday September 6 through Sunday September 22, 2013.

 Rotary Parking is located on Meridian directly across the from the Gold gate  with entrances by Don's Drive In  and at the corner of 9th Ave SW and Meridian.  If you are looking for a close spot to park your family or attend a concert please support the Rotary club of South Hill Puyallup.  We also offer easily accessible parking spots for our physically challenged friends and neighbors.

Proceeds continue to support our work in the community by providing transitional housing for families, scholarships for Puyallup high school and Pierce college students and many other community needs

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Early in the spring of 1983, Lorin Ginther of the Puyallup Rotary Club was tasked with the job of forming a new Rotary Club in the rapidly-growing South Hill area. Lorin, along with Art Gjerstad, Paul Hackett, and Bob Dalton, began holding meetings at the Squire East restaurant on Thursdays at noon. Puyallup Rotarians Ralph Bastian and Dennis Harwood transferred their memberships from downtown Puyallup to the new South Hill Club and became the first active Rotarians in the new group.

Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14-18. The Emerald Ridge High School Interact Club is sponsored jointly by the South Hill Rotary Club and the Puyallup Rotary Club, which provide support and guidance, but Interact clubs are self-governing and self-supporting.
