These machines were donated through our club, which will send the machines using Rotary World Help. | | Posted by Mary Lou Miles on Feb 05, 2013 | | Posted by Mary Lou Miles on May 05, 2012 Congratulations to Sandra and her team for putting on our premier event! Our Club should be proud of its accomplishments. The Turning Point Recovery Society is especially appreciative of our efforts. The picture attached is one of the many on our website and highlights our recognition of major sponsors. In this case Sandra and Mary Lou are presenting to Garth Edwards representing fellow member, John Madsen, of White Rock U Lock as one of our diamond sponsors. | | Posted by Mary Lou Miles on Mar 19, 2012 Natalie Meixner, the President and CEO of the Richmond Hospital Foundation spoke to our Club last week about the current plans for the Foundation and the Hospital. She is impressed by the community at the Hospital and how much they contribute to our City. As a Richmond resident, she is so pleased to be part of the process. She did mention that our Club has donated over $150,000 over the years to the RHF and many of our members have been on the Hospital Board including: Ron Benoit, Basil Kallner, Doug Nightingale, Dalbir Rai, Jack Hutchinson, and Bill Jaffe.John and Mary Lou presented Natalie with a cheque in the amount of $2,000 in memory of Dalbir's Mom Parkash Rai. The legacy from this donation is that the Board agreed that annually, we will continue to donate to the Richmond Hospital Foundation for all those loved ones in our extended Rotary family. Amount will be determined annually by each Board.
Natalie thanked us for the donation and advised it will go towards the upgrades taken place in the ICU lounge. We hope to see more of Natalie at our Club.
