| Posted by Grant MacEachern on Mar 12, 2011 There is a photo of corn sprouting . I find it amazing that with night time temperatures near freezing, the corn planted within the last 10 days is already several inches tall. I guess it is well adapted to this climate. And there was also some very timely rain. I took the photo of the child in the microbus because he was grabbing my hat, obviously intrigued. All the women in the bus were making jokes at my expense. That is very common, since I am generally the tallest, palest, and baldest person they see around here. Similarly for the Pied Piper photo: my friend Peter and I walked past a school just as the kids were getting out. We soon had about 20 of them following and asking questions. They all had paper hats they had made for Carnival celebration. |
