About the Food Bank
Established in November of 2008, Teton Valley's Rotary Food Bank
is the first year-round food bank to serve Teton Valley residents in
need.
While the Rotary Club initiated the project, representatives
from St Francis Church in Alta, WY, were instrumental in organizing the
effort. The Church provides administrative and bookeeping services.
The Food Bank is intended to be used as a temporary emergency source of food.
Food Sources
- We receive over 10,000 cans from the local Boy Scouts
annual food drive. The Boy Scouts pick up bags of donated food from
homes around the community in October, and this provides a good base
supply for the food bank.
- In addition, we place monthly orders from Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership and the Idaho Food Bank.
- Volunteer organizations run food drives at the local grocery, Broulim's.
- Cash donations, grants and Rotary fundraisers help us buy enough food to supplement the donated goods.
Donating to the Food Bank
Donations to the Food Bank come in the form of food or cash. Both are greatly appreciated.
Cash Donations
The Food Bank is a participant in the Community Foundation of Teton Valley's Tin Cup Challenge, which is the best way to contribute because we are eligible for matching funds.
To donate funds outside of the Tin Cup giving period, please write checks to St Francis Church (a 501C3) and mail to Teton Valley Food Bank, PO Box 518, Driggs, ID 83422.
Food Donations
Donations can be dropped off:
- Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m.
- A drop-off bin is also available outside at all times (please no perishables).
Items typically in need include:
- Canned tomatoes, tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce
- Canned tuna/chicken

Organizations Participatinig with the Food Bank
The Food Bank is a community effort. We would not be in
existence without the help of other organizations. Non-profits, youth
groups, churches are all welcome to help us through your own special
projects or by coordinating a food drives at Broulim's.
Organizations that conduct food drives throughout the year are encouraged to donate their collections to the Food Bank.
Additionally, we look for businesses and organizations to
sponsor the Food Bank by adopting a month and providing volunteers to
work that month. For more information contact us!
