* A safe estimate for the cost of Rotary is about $1600.00 per year. The first year will be a little higher because of the one-time initiation fee and the possible expense of Red Badger social gatherings that new members and their spouses are encouraged to attend. Deductibility of expenses varies.
Factors that could change the Club costs are:

"Making up a meeting" at another club will provide you with a meal credit the following invoicing period.

There are usually 3 or 4 occasions a year -- in the holiday seasons -- when no meetings are scheduled.

Some meals at BBQs or other events taking place away from our regular meeting place are more expensive, thus incurring an additional charge.

Some members wish to contribute more to the Rotary Charitable Foundation through punches on their "Big Wheel Credit Card".

Some members contribute on a quarterly basis to the Rotary International Foundation also.

From time to time, there are opportunities for additional voluntary donations.
Once a member has been accepted in the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara they are billed quarterly, in advance. Payment is due upon receipt.
