Vocational Service

Strengthening vocational relationships & ethics

Vocational service encourages Rotarians to serve others through their vocations and to practice high ethical standards.

  • Scholarships -- The club is a major contributor of scholarships to graduating seniors from Murrieta high schools who are preparing for lifelong vocations through colleges and vocational schools.
  • Music Competition -- The club stages a competition each year for high school-age musicians as a way of encouraging young people to pursue musical careers.  The contest offers cash prizes and entry into a district-wide competition.
  • Business Awards -- Presented quarterly, these awards recognize local businesses for their community involvement and promotion of ethical standards through their actions.
  • Business Ethics -- A new program that will bring attention to personal and business ethics.
  • Vocational Awards -- Special awards to noteworthy performance by public employees.
  • Teacher Grants -- Through small monetary cash grants to elementary and middle school teachers, these funds help provide classroom supplies and teaching aids not available through the school district's regular budget.
  • Job Shadowing -- Rotarians offer high school-age youths a chance to observe up-close various vocations.
