Honor your hero
More than 2,000 flags will fly in tribute to our personal heroes. Honor a veteran, past or present, a first responder or any other person or group who has impacted your life. For $35, sponsor a flag and put that person's name on an attached yellow ribbon. Claim the flag set afterword.
Create an image with chalk
A new addition to last year's event was so well received that it is being staged again this fall. Patriots Walk, an exhibition of patriotic images painted with chalk on a sidewalk adjacent to the field, will be on display during the event week. The walk will be along the north side of the Field of Honor. Details to be available on this site by July 1.
Kids also may get into the act. There will be a section of squares set aside for the young to paint, also with patriotic images. There is no pre-registration for kids. First come, first given a box of chalk to use.
Attend activities
A variety of activities go on through the week, starting with the chalk art painting on the Saturday and Sunday of the event and a First Responders recognition ceremony.
Help stage the event with a sponsorship
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, including businesses who see fit to help stage this awe-inspiring event through cash or in-kind services. Your participation is essential to the region continuing to enjoy this event. Details will be posted here soon.
