2012-2013 Literacy Awards - Suggestions & Criteria
Welcome to the District 5000 Literacy Page. We wish to express our appreciation to Gale Warshawsky and Gloria King as past District 5000 Literacy Chairs for the fine work that they have done on behalf of Literacy for Rotary and Hawaii.
There are many files to download and links to follow to help you plan Literacy Projects for your club. We've changed the organization of the home page so that the different activities for the Literacy are now located under general subject headings. That way a Literacy Chair or Community Services Director can obtain information from a particular subject's webpage and easily direct others to that same source of information.
Each subject page will also have an overview of the subject, descriptions of where the different links lead and how the different downloads may be useful for the implementation of the subject.
These pages are for YOU, the membership of District 5000. We want to help you to help others and share your passion for literacy with them. Please don't hesitate to offer suggestions for new ideas, events happening in your club and constructive criticism.
