Rotarians Create 'Miles of Smiles'

District 6000's Miles of Smiles Team has made a better life for children born with cleft lip and palate. The Iowa Most organization of District 6000 has sent a Medical Team to Guatemala on Missions to repair facial deformity of the lip and palate. First, an "advance team" travels to inspect the medical facility and later the entire support team and supplies reach the area to be served. A team led by former District Governor Gary Pacha and Rotarian Doctor John Canady, from the University of Iowa have cultivated a strong collaborative partnership with Rotary in Guatemala. Future missions are in the planning stage for the western highlands of Guatemala .
Contributions of any size from individuals and clubs will help to continue these missions. Iowa MOST contributions are tax deductible. It is important that checks be made out to District 6000 HEF, with Iowa MOST on the memo line, and should be mailed c/o:
