by April Axthelm

Our program this week is: Pacific Northwest Trail Association.Pacific Northwest Trail Association. Hear about what they do: Explore the Northwest The 1200 mile Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail (PNNST), running from the Continental Divide to the Pacific Ocean, ranks among the most scenic trails in the world. This carefully chosen path is high for the views and long on adventure. It includes the Rocky Mountains, Selkirk Mountains, Pasayten Wilderness, North Cascades, Olympic Mountains, and Wilderness Coast. The trail crosses 3 National Parks and 7 National Forests. You can play an important role in developing, enjoying, and preserving the PNNST. Whether you are a PNNST hiker or volunteer, this organization welcomes you and offers you information, fellowship, and a forum to learn and share experiences.

May 18th Bunko Party at April Axthelm's Home May 18th- in the morning- Work Party we sold at the auction! Steve Gates has provided the following information (more to follow on Friday): This work party was sold at our last auction, and the time to pay off is this Saturday. Given the afternoon celebration at 3:00, I'd like us to start the work party at 8:30 so we can be done by 1:00 or earlier. When we finish will depend on how many show up since we are committed to 40 Rotarian-hours of work. If we can get a dozen folks, then we're done by noon with a little extra for our auction client. Work party logistics to follow later this week, but for now, if you are available Saturday morning, please drop me an e-mail reply so I can start getting a head count. Thanks, and looking forward to a Saturday of Burlington Rotary this coming weekend! June 22- Darrell's Installation party at Dottie Piazza's Home

January 30th will go down in history as the day many Rotarians threw large round balls (with very small thumb holes) at white pins about 100 feet away.  It was very exciting for everyone who participated, and if you didn't get the chance, well, there is always next year. President April took video (without permission, lawsuit is pending) and you can see the by clicking on the big arrow in the middle (for the benefit of Jim Sanders).
Burlington Station: A Great Rotary Project
by Martin, Rob

Well, as nightfall (almost) fell, a crowd of excited, yet cold onlookers peered over the new stage, and looked at the green grass risers.  "Grass is kind of wet. I don't think I'll sit down" said our own Don Power.  "I sure hope I don't get cut with those oversized sissors" said a dapper looking Dwayne Stowe, coordinator of major bathroom projects and other town business.  "I think it is really great. Really," said Bernie Halladay to Marlene Wegner as they listened to the program from Mayor Steve Sexton.  "I sure hope somebody took pictures", said Dick Irwin as he looked around for a camera.

Well, the long awaited project is completed!  The public bathrooms are a reality, and the building is beautifulImageImageImage
