The 5th Annual Kensington-Berlin Charity Golf Tournament will be held on June 17 at Timberlin Golf Course in Berlin.  This year 50% of the  proceeds will  benefit "Support Our Shelby Fund" and 50% will benefit Kensington-Berlin  Rotary Service Projects. Shelby Luddy, a Berlin High sophmore, suffered  neurological trauma on July 20 2012 from a rare genetic disease called moyamoya.

After being in a coma for many weeks, Shelby is now home facing many challenges. For more information on sponsorship opportunities, golfing and raffle items,  please contact John Roman  at 203-232-1081 or jcroman2012@aol.com or Elaine Pavasaris 860-463-9193 elaine@homesweethomect.com.

by Pavasaris, Elaine

Michele Tine and Elaine Pavasaris visited Miss Kozyrski's third grade class at St Paul School in Kensington on February 4, 2013.  The Rotarians led the class in the Pledge of Allegiance, discussed the Rotary motto of Service Above Self and then presented the hardbound Scholastic dictionaries to each student. The students then wrote their name inside the dictionary and were encouraged to share the "Gift of Words" with their parents. Third grader Rielly Pavasaris, exclaimed "This is the best dictionary ever"! Thanks Rotary!
