The Deer Park Rotary Youth Book Donation Drop Box has been completed and is in the parking lot at Yokes. Thankfully we were able to get the box donated by Yokes and they allowed us to leave it in the existing spot for donations. Emery did some great work getting it refurbished and ready for donations! We are finally up and running!

Rotary club of Deer Park WA
Celebrates Rotary's local and International club founding
This year, Deer Park Rotary a 501c3 celebrates its 30th Anniversary and Rotary International's its 105th Anniversary by providing $10,500 of purchasing power for the local food banks serving Elk, Deer Park, and Loon Lake/Springdale. In January, when our community has the greatest need, the entire club voted to donate $1,050 cash above our normal yearly support. In this community at this time, we wanted to help our neighbors in need.
Our local community service projects have cleaned up our neighborhoods repairing and improving many of the local parks and schools. It is our privilege to be contributing to youth literacy, and college scholarships for local students and supporting our service men away from their families.
Rotary, a global network of community volunteers is one of the largest and most influential international humanitarian service organizations worldwide. Founded in Chicago on February 23, 1905, today over 1.2 million members belong to 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.
Rotary members, as volunteers, conduct projects to address today's humanitarian challenges, including illiteracy, disease, hunger, poverty, lack of clean water, and environmental concerns while encouraging high standards in all vocations. Rotary members strive to build goodwill and peace, and provide humanitarian service in their communities and throughout the world. Deer Park Rotary joins Rotary clubs around the world to recognize the day, also known as Rotary's "World Understanding and Peace Day".
Rotary's top Goal is to eradicate polio worldwide. Rotary has contributed nearly US$850 million and countless volunteer hours to the protection of more than two billion children in 122 countries. Rotary is currently working to raise an additional $200 million toward a $355 million challenge grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
