An Update from Emma McAneny YEX D7210 (Greenville
) to D2040 Milan, Italy: Italy
is great for me now! The beginning was interesting because I was having
a good time touring different places with my family, but I didn't have
friends so it was sad. But I'm pretty sure that happens to everyone. Anyway, ever since January everything has been wonderful! I've finally
been able to make friends! And I don't mean like the people who I would
just tag along with who didn't really know what to say to me. I mean
real friends! I'm so happy about that! Lately I've been just hanging around Monza (town near me) and Milan! Oh
and last weekend I got to help my Rotary sell flowers for Womens Day.
That was cool all the money went to a hospital in Kenya afterwards so
thats really sweet! Then next weekend I'm going with the whole distrect
to visit Cremona! Very excited!
If you want to see my blog its http://www.emmaanditaly.blogspot.com.
A Presto!

For the second year, Rotary
International and District
7210 are jointly sponsoring billboards in the District to promote
awareness of
Rotary and Rotary's humanitarian goals. This year, in keeping with the
emphasis
around the world, the billboards deal with PolioPlus. Because of the
expense of this project, there are only billboards in two counties each
year--this year Rockland and Ulster (last year it was Dutchess and
Orange). To see larger image of this month's billboard, click here. Continue reading for links to see the other billboards. More... |

In late June of 2009 while attending the Rotary Club of Danbury's Installation Dinner , incoming president for Danbury James Gargan and past 2 time president Paul Fucito of Brewster, New York's club came up with an idea. Being friends for over 30 years, they talked of the possibility of having a joint meeting at each other's club to share their Rotary experience both past and future. As far as each knew, the two clubs, both from two different bordering states, had never done this before. Once it was concluded that they had not, both clubs agreed it would be a good idea. More... |
