Registration opens at 8 a.m.

The seminar will be held at The Cotillion, located at 360 S. Creekside in Palatine. That's on Route 14, a half block west of Highway 53.

According to the conference agenda released by Chair Viehman, the first hour will present information about Rotary Centers by Jill Brickman, Ambassadorial Scholars by Linda Lutz, and Group Study Exchange (New Zealand) by Larry Penar.

The first half of the morning will continue with presentations about the Guatemala Project by Larry Kanar, Humanitarian Grants by PDG Mike Erickson, District Simplified Grants by Sandy Frum, and World Community Service by Linda Lutz.

Following the mid-morning break, topics covered will include Polio Eradication by PDG Dave Waring, Annual Program Fund by Walter Reed, Contribution/Recognition Forms 101 by Roylene Gallas, Permanent Fund/Planned Giving by Lucinda Kasperson, and the Importance of Foundation Giving by PDG Dick Beals.

Following Mr. Osterlund's luncheon address, the seminar is scheduled to adjourn at 1:30 p.m.

The seminar is conducted by the district each year to bring Rotarians up to speed on the many activities of the Foundation, whose major continuing project is the worldwide eradication of polio.

But the Foundation sponsors a number of other philanthropic activities, in partnership with individual clubs and districts, within its overall mission of helping Rotarians to do good in the world.

While the seminar is open to all Rotarians, it is specifically designed to be helpful to club presidents, presidents-elect, foundation chairs, international project chairs, and community service chairs.

At the seminar, a number of clubs will receive certificates and/or banners in recognition of outstanding support of the Foundation during the past year. The clubs to be recognized are as follows:
