Honduras is the
third poorest country in the Western Hemisphere
and is currently undergoing politically motivated sanctions that are hurting the

districts/clubs in Texas, and Hunger Plus. RI President John
Kenney and the Rotary Action Group (RAG) on Hunger and Malnutrition Have clearly
identified Hunger as major world problem and a priority for Rotary. This
project will help the needy in Honduras and serve as a model for
similar projects in other needy
areas.
Clubs and Districts in Texas and Honduras will jointly raise local
funds and pool their resources. Hunger Plus will act as facilitator for the
project. Funds will be used for parching 44,000# of beans and 44,000# of rice.
