District 5040 Rotarians continued to be generous supporters of PolioPlus and the polio challenge. The Rotary Foundation has passed the half way mark we have raised US$100,823.00 of the $200 million committed to the initiative.

In the Rotary year 2008-09 District 5040 had the highest per capita donations to polio of any of the 16 districts in Zone 24. District 5040 received special recognition in September at the Zone Institute in Edmonton.
