The 2011-12 and 2012-13 Rotary Club President-Elect Training Seminar is now open for registration at www.lonestarpets.org. The 25th annual event is scheduled for March 18-20 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at DFW Airport. (Note: There will not be training for Assistant Governors this year)

Our mission is to prepare YOU, as an in-coming Rotary club president:

1. For a confident leadership role.

2. T o help YOU build YOUR club team.

3. To help provide insight into recognizing and meeting the needs of YOUR community.

4. To bring YOU current with the recognized programs of Rotary International.and

5. To provide YOU with resources and materials that will help guide YOU through the year while serving as Club President.

6. By providing the most respected and talented speakers to inspire and motivate YOU  

Lone Star PETS is much more than training you in how to conduct a club meeting.  Lone Star PETS is an energizing experience and that is why we encourage your spouse to attend also.  Our feedback over the years has shown that a president elect whose spouse attends Lone Star PETS has an enormous advantage over one whose spouse does not attend. 

There are many reasons for your spouse to attend with you:  

1. You will share the same awesome experience that is Lone Star PETS. 

2. Your spouse will learn how important your job as a Rotary club president is in today's world.

3. Both of you will actually meet the leaders of Rotary International, have a chance to ask them questions, and get answers.

4. We have a specially prepared, informative spouses program to help your spouse understand the impact that your Rotary club has in your community and the world.

5. Outstanding speakers at every meal and in the spouses' sessions help your spouse gain a greater appreciation of what you are involved in.

6. Generous breaks allow you and and your spouse to meet and make new friends together, and plan for the day when you will assume the duties of your Rotary club's president.

In order to attend the plenary sessions, breakfast, luncheons, dinners and banquets with you, your spouse must also register, so before you register, explain why it is so important to you, for them to attend as well.  The spouses registration fee ($250) is a small price to pay for the benefit you both will receive.

If you arrive on Thursday, March 17 you will be able to pick up your packet and all materials at 1:00 p.m., or after, in "Innovation A" behind the hotel reservations area on the Lobby -Level.

RI-Merchandise Vendors will be here Thursday as well, so come prepared to pick up  any club supplies, pins, banners, gifts, and personal RI items (more than you can imagine) while you are here.  Meet your District's Governor-Elect, and go over plans for your year, enjoy fellowshipping with other Presidents Elect.  District meetings and Bonus Sessions begin Friday morning, March 18, 2011 at 7:00 a.m. O n-Site registration and sign-in will be open Friday from 7:00 to 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Innovation-A on the lobby level.
