In Houston on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 9 am until 5 pm, District 5890 will host a summit of Rotary book collectors and shippers from around North America.  The location will be Angie’s Little Rotary House, 1291 North Post Oak Rd., Suite 100.  We will be featuring the incoming District 9400 Governor and wife. District 9400 includes the northeastern portion of South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, and southern Mozambique.  Also presenting will be the key people from the collection centers in Southern California, Wisconsin, and New York State as well as Dallas and Houston.
You will want to hear the story of Ewald Visser from Bentonville, Arkansas who discovered the book project on our website at the age of 14.  Ewald is now 17 and the President of his Interact Club.  His Dad is a Rotarian now also.  He will tell his story.

We will be covering the topics of the current status of the project, what the future holds, fund raising, partnering, expansion of the project, how to participate, and how to involve your community.  Come see what ten years of service can do for changing the world.

Lunch will be included.  There is no charge for attending the Booklegger Summit but registration is required because of the limited seating available.  Please encourage your Interactors and Rotaractors to attend.

Please click on the registration form on left, complete the form and email to, or mail your information to Booklegger Summit, 4601 Hamblen Ct., Seabrook, Texas 77586.  Please include your name, address, phone number, and email address.
