 | I am pleased to announce that the District Governor Selection Committee has selected Lisa Faith Massey (Harrisburg Rotary Club) to serve District 5890 as its District Governor for 2014-2015. Lisa has done an outstanding job as a Rotarian, currently serving as Assistant Governor for Space Center, Baytown and Seabrook clubs. She is married to Corby Leschber (West U Rotary Club), who is very supportive of her as she chooses to commit her time and talents to Rotary for next three years. |
On Thursday, January 26th, 2012, the District 5890 District Governor Nominating Committee (Jon McKinnie, Chair) interviewed several very qualified, outstanding and committed Rotarians for District Governor 2014-15. All the candidates were nominated by Rotary Clubs of District 5890.
According to District By-Laws, any Club in District 5890 has fourteen (14) days from the date of notice (Sat, Jan 28) to the Club Presidents, to file a protest to this selection. The District has received no Club challenges by the end of February 12, 2012. Therefore, it is my honor and privilege to declare AG Lisa Faith Massey of Rotary Club of Harrisburg as District 5890’s duly elected and confirmed District Governor Nominee Designate.
DGND Lisa Faith Massey will serve as our District Governor for Rotary year 2014-15. Congratulations to Lisa Faith and Corby!!! I know this will be a wonderful experience for both of them and they will serve our District well.
I want to thank the Selection Committee and especially Chair Jon McKinnie for its outstanding work in selecting Lisa to lead our wonderful District.
Again, I want to congratulate Lisa and wish her well in her new journey in Rotary.
