Via moving video clips documenting the impact of Rotary programs like
Polio Plus, photographs demonstrating the joy of receiving a
life-altering wheelchair, and statistics on the success of the school
for the children of the dump, attendees saw "humanity in motion."
Service above self was evident by the projects that offered food and
education today that would create opportunity tomorrow for children
living in extreme poverty. The morning closed with very moving
"minutes" from Rotarians sharing the accomplishments of various Rotary
projects in combating illiteracy, providing clean water, building
habitable housing, and battling crippling diseases.
District Governor Ed Charlesworth closed the seminar with a charge to
commit to the continued growth of our clubs and the continuing success
of Rotary.
The Skyline and River Oaks Clubs received participation awards.
Many thanks to the planning committee and all of the participating Rotarians for the success of the seminar.
