"November is Rotary Foundation Month"
POLIO MUST BE BANISHED FROM THE WORLD FOREVER!
November is the time of the year, we, as Rotarians, celebrate The Rotary Foundation.
In 1917, RI President Arch C Klumph proposed that an endowment be set up "for the purpose of doing good in the world."

I believe it is also the time we should remember the birth of The Rotary Foundation and its place in Rotary and the world community. Perhaps, for some newer Rotarians, it is also an opportunity to understand how it is an integral part of Rotary and the means that we are able to fund the many programs that "do good in the world".
In 1928, when the endowment fund had grown to more than US$5000, it was renamed The Rotary Foundation (TRF), and became a distinct entity within RI. Five Trustees, including Klumph, were appointed to "hold, invest, manage, and administer all of its property as a single trust, for the furtherance of the purposes of RI."
