Are you prepared? Think of how much better prepared our communities would be in a disaster if millions of people were trained in Disaster Preparedness. That is our mission. Who better than Rotary to lead the way?
Our first District 5260 Disaster Operations Committee (D-DOC) goal is to confirm a Club Disaster Operations Officer (C-DOO) in each of our 36 Clubs. It is a great learning opportunity for every one of over 1,100 Rotarians (and their families, neighbors and associates); as well as, a great way to introduce Rotary and "inspire" prospective new members to become Active Rotarians in their communities.
When "The Big One" strikes our community, leaders (Rotarians, like you) will most likely be first-on-the-scene to support our families, our neighbors and First Responders. The Rotary District 5260 DPTR Program is being developed to help Rotary District 5260 Rotarians to "Be Prepared to Move Quickly" in times of a disaster and provide leadership from a base of confidence through Preparedness Awareness and hands-on frontline Training.
