"Making Dreams Real" What an awesome theme! In true Rotary fashion it inspires us to find ways to make the dreams of others come true. When thinking of our own dreams, we may think big. For millions, their dreams are as simple as having fresh water to drink, preventing disease or learning to read.

That is why RI President Lee has appointed resource groups to promote projects to make these dreams real.  These resources groups include Heath and Hunger, Water and Literacy. The goal is to develop projects in these areas that decrease child mortality.

As the District Literacy Chair, I work with clubs to find projects, fund projects and promote literacy projects. This year we have been challenged to combine these focus areas in our projects. For example,  if your club has helped build a clinic, you may want to have health workshops at that clinic. The possibilities are endless, especially with the creativity in the district.
