The Houston-Area Rotary Foundation Alumni was formed in January 2008.  Former GSE team members, Rotary Ambassadorial Scholars, World Peace Fellows, etc. are eligible to be members.

District 5890 will be awarding 4 Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships for the 2011-12 year.  Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar alumni Daryl Brown, Corbett Parker, and Ruby L. Powers have spoken to groups at UH Honors College, UH Law, St. Thomas, Rice, and Baylor about this opportunity.  We will be looking for more alumni volunteers for the next term starting in the Fall of 2009.  District 5890 deadline is February 2010.  For more information, contact http://www.rotaryhoustonskyline.org/scholarships.htm.

In 2009-2010, District 5890 will send two GSE teams: one to Germany in September/October and one to India later in the fall of 2009.  The team to India will consist of all medical professionals.  We will be assisting the District in their search for team members.  Contact me for more information.
