Your committee considers it prudent to establish a few "guidelines" to keep in mind as we contemplate the applications that will come before us this year.

Guidelines  - subject to review and amendment throughout the year.
1.    A maximum DSG contribution of $2,000 for any one project by any individual club. This will permit the District to support a minimum of 22 projects and hopefully permit a wide dissemination of funds rather than supporting only a few projects with a few clubs. District checks covering the reimbursement of approved expenditures will be issued upon the receipt of   the submission of a final report and receipts covering  expenditures  along with a photo/article for the District Newsletter.
2.     Acceptable DSG applications must serve the local community and not be "international" in nature.
3.    A maximum DDF contribution of $8,000 for any one Matching Grant project with any one club allowed  to serve as International Partner on a maximum of one grant.
4.    Will the project have sustainability?
5.    Is there significant cash contemplated as being contributed by Clubs rather than counting on DDF as the major source of funding? The committee expects that total Rotary Club contributions should equal or exceed District contributions.
6.    Do the applicant Clubs
a.   have a positive history of giving to TRF both in absolute dollars and on a per capita basis?
b.   have members who participate in District activities.Group Study Exchange, Student Exchange, District Assembly, District Conference, Seminars and Family Of Rotary?
c.   have a successful history of timely completion and reporting on previous grants?
7.    Are applicant clubs current in payment of dues to RI and District?
8.    Have club members attended training sessions on grants?
9.    Consider "reserving" grant DDF or DSG, when requested and justified, for clubs putting together large or complex grants so that applicant knows that District  funding  can be depended upon.
10.    Consistent with the Future Vision priorities applications should address;
a.    Water and sanitation
b.    Maternal and child health
c.    Education and basic literacy
d.    Economic and community development
e.    Disease prevention/treatment
f.    Peace and conflict resolution/prevention
