August is Membership and Extension Month

In August, Rotarians are asked to focus on membership and extension. During this month, consider sharing what it means to be a Rotarian in your community. For starters, check out the new online version of Rotary Basics, and use some of the content to develop a press release, letter to the editor, or newspaper supplement. Be sure to add information specific to your club and district. 2nd PR Meeting - Overview - Monday July 27th was the 2nd Public Relations Meeting.  We held this meeting via teleconference.  Something a little different to the District 7640's world, but it seemed to work. If you missed our meeting please check back in the PR section for our next meeting. Everyone is welcome, your ideas are always welcomed.  Please feel free to contact me! Meeting Highlights:  PR Grant - submitted in July and will be notified in October if we received any funding. Hand-Across-The-District - will be held in April (date TBD).  The event will be at the decision of each Rotary Club and could be a fund raiser, a community activity, a Rotary Fire Side Chat, what ever each club would like to hold is their decision.  The only similar item will be the date and the news coverage, which will be provided by the District. More Info to Follow. Sample of Press Release to use for your club will be provided. Ideas for moving forward (District brochure, advertising on the radio, newsletters). Meeting minutes will be forwarded to all attendees, as well as Club Presidents, AG and the Leader Ship Team. We look forward to your ideas on PR!  Please join us for our next meeting!
