Committee Report – Public Relations
Our ads are running at the East Geelong Newsagency.
For our Club archives, photographs taken by members other than David Sykes and Chris Adam (the Papa-Artsy) are needed - how else will photos of David and Chris make it into Geelong Eaststory? Slap your snaps on a USB stick and pass it onto Chris for posterity.
The Geelong News featured a story on The R.J. Vague Award and our Facebook page is getting lots of Likes.
New Generations

The Rotary Leadership Institute
The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is a three-part series of fast paced, interactive, one day courses to refine a Rotarian’s leadership skills and increase their knowledge of Rotary.
Participants return to their clubs with enthusiasm, new contacts, fresh ideas, an increased understanding of their potential as Rotarians and valuable skills impacting their potential leadership in the club. In particular, new Rotarians and Presidents Elect are encouraged to attend.
The closing date for registrations is 28 June and RLI is run at Geelong, Ballarat and Portland – the Geelong dates are 7 September and 9 November this year and 22 February, 2014.
See President Michael or President Elect Graham if you are interested.

Attendance officer Graeme Fleet asks us to put in our make-up details early so the May attendance figures can be done in good time.
Science and Engineering Challenge
Deakin University will be hosting the Science and Engineering Challenge on the last Thursday and Friday in May. Tony Alsop welcomes any member who would like to assist.
Update Your Dates and Details On Club Runner
Congratulations to Don Macvean! He received The Sparkler Cake because he took the time to check his profile on Club Runner to make sure we didn’t miss his 80th wedding anniversary…no, sorry..his 80th birthday! The accurate recognition of members’ and partners’ birthdays and anniversaries in this Bulletin (and their announcement at the end of each meeting) rely on members’ information on Club Runner being correct.
Friends of Rotary and Entertainment Books
Graeme Fleet reported that Club members have purchased 42 Entertainment Books which means around $600.00 for our Club funds.
Friends of Rotary will be inducted at our meeting on 28 May.
