Fellow Rotarians,

I hope everyone had a nice day at hidden oaks golf course. Thank you to Katerina Zamyatina and her committee co-chairs Doug Holt and Sten Ericson with the help of David Irwin. I also want to thank Jo Ann Mermis for leading a Yoga class.

The last group 8 Presidents meeting of the year was held on Monday May 13th with the new incoming Presidents in attendance including our own Chris Clemens.  I am very proud of the accomplishments  of our group."Westside Project ImageOrganization of the Year" for our contributions and help with Bohnett park, we did not win yet it was nice to be recognized for our efforts. Beth Johnson was nominated for "Westside Project Individual of the Year"  Rotarians In attendance were Eric Boehm, Julie McGovern, Cynder Sinclair, Past President Vicky MacGregor.

 All my best,

Randy Figgins

“One of the most impressive examples I know of international cooperation is in those gardens where we find plants, shrubs, and trees flourishing side by side in perfect harmony and beauty….There is much wisdom to be learned in a garden, and the very beginning is a realization of the fact that all final results depend upon proper preparation of the soil….So it is with Rotary. The crop we envisage is world peace and stability, a world in which we all live together as friends and neighbors.  The seed to be sown — fellowship, friendship, understanding. The soil — the minds of individual Rotarians.
