On February 23, 2013 the Rotary Club of Smithtown-Sunrise will be hosting its
8th Annual Snow Ball.
This year’s ball will support the United Veterans Beacon House, Inc. as well as other local charitable organizations.
The Ball will be held at Watermill Caterers in Smithtown from 7:30 to 12:30.
There will be live music.
Tickets are $100.00 per person.
Sponsorship opportunities are available in the following denominations:
Gold Sponsorship - $1,000.00 (Gold Sponsorship includes two tickets to the Ball)

A group
of philanthropic Vietnam Veterans opened the first residence in 1994.
UVBH now operates and supports 25 locations in Nassau and Suffolk
Counties, including 24 housing units and our headquarters.
Hundreds
of men, women and children are served on any given day.
Initially
UVBH was formed to work with the homeless veteran population
in the Tri State area, and it continues to do so. We work with veterans
who come to us with physical disabilities, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injuries, mental health issues and/or alcohol addiction.
Years ago we expanded our services to assist the non-veteran population
facing homelessness, drug and/or alcohol addiction. UVBH offers
job skills development, job placement assistance, survival life skills and
financial management training.

Family Assistance Project funded by United Way of LI:
Assist our OEF/OIF/OND Veterans and their families with employment
assistance and referrals services at no charge.
Homeless
Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) funded by Department of Labor:
Provides free job training, retraining, job placement and case
management services for homeless veterans to prepare them for and help them obtain
sustainable employment
Housing
Programs:
All of
our housing programs are enhanced by intensive case management and supportive
services.
Grant
& Per Diem: transitional housing for
homeless veterans
Frail
& Elderly Program: transitional housing for homeless veterans over 65.
Supportive Permanent Housing: supportive permanent
housing for veteran and non veteran males with substance abuse and/or mental health
issues.
Shelter Plus Care:
permanent housing for homeless families and singles with substance abuse
and/or mental health issues
Supportive Housing for Women: supportive transitional housing for females
with substance abuse issues
