Huntley Rotary Mission Statement

The Huntley Rotary Club focuses on hands-on projects in the local community that provides members with opportunities for growth in leadership and networking.  The group also promotes fellowship events that build lasting friendships.  As part of Rotary International, the club is also contributing to End Polio in the world, and working on literacy and clean water projects.

The Huntley Rotary Club's Fifth Annual Bags Tournament, held March 15, raised funds for the Grafton Food Pantry and other local charities.  Thank you to these generous sponsors:  B&C Enterprises, Inc., Binger Chiropractic, CMIT Solutions, Castle Bank, Century 21 New Heritage, Coyote Auto Center, Drendel's Corner, DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral and Cremation Services, Edward Jones, Lamp, Inc., MKD Electric, Old World Stone, and Town Square Wheaton.

The Huntley Rotary Club presented a check today for $1,000 to the Huntley Area Public Library to support children's literacy initiatives.   The donation will fund one year of TumbleBooks, a subscription based online program to help preschool aged children learn to read, and school aged children increase reading levels.

The Huntley Rotary Club has announced its Fifth Annual Bags Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at Pinecrest Restaurant in Huntley.  The tournament style competition will be a best of three games with winners advancing to the next round.  First and second place champions will receive cash prizes of $300 and $150 respectively.   (See "Download" section for Registration Form and Sponsorship Information)

The Huntley Rotary will use proceeds from the tournament to benefit the Grafton Food Pantry located on Smith Drive, as well as other charities.

At the Installation Dinner held on June 25, five new Paul Harris Fellowships were awarded to Huntley Rotarians.  Pictured from left to right:  Chad Binger, Thom Palmer, Bill Jorgensen, Scott Mitchell, Leigh Ann Porsch, and Huntley Rotary Foundation Chair Warren Higgins.  These awards bring the Huntley Club into 100% participation in Paul Harris Fellowship status.

The Huntley Rotary Club installed new officers for the 2013-2014 Rotary year at a dinner held June 25.   Incoming officers include from left to right:  Jim Vaccaro, Treasurer;  Thom Palmer, President-elect;  Earl Ferris, Sergeant at Arms;  Nancy Topalovich, Secretary;  Scott Mitchell, Past President; and Bill Jorgensen, President.  Congratulations to you all!

At the regular club meeting held on Tuesday, June 5, the club presented a check for $1,000 to Ross Spencer of ShelterBox USA. ShelterBox provides emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by natural disasters. Visit to learn more.

Through its fundraising efforts, the Huntley Rotary Club purchased 10,000 pounds of food for the Grafton Food Pantry.  Members were on hand to help distribute food to area residents on Saturday, August 4.
