South County Safe Rides Program

Every Friday and Saturday night from October through mid-June, high school volunteers, overseen by a group of adult volunteers, staff the call center at Mission Hospital from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Teams of four — a navigator and a driver, a dispatcher and an adult supervisor — man the toll-free hotlines.

You MUST be a CURRENT LOCAL High School Student!
You must attend one training session & bring the following:
Safe Rides applications complete with/parent signatures. (Get
applications from your student officer, 2 page application!)
$16.00 dues for each person must be paid at training!
Complete the 2 hour training session & sign-in information
(even if you’ve been a member before)
Where: EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE Center for Mission
Hospital on the LOWER campus off Crown Valley Parkway

TIME: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. – Room “B”

STUDENT drivers must have a full driver’s license (not graduated license)
Note we have other non-driving positions for students; dispatcher & navigator
ADULT Volunteers age 21-24 (w/recommendation) Age 25 & over Open
& All MUST attend a training and like working with teens!
