Santa Clarita Valley Rotary: Join them for "Poker Run" on Saturday, June 1st to help raise funds for the Habitat for Heroes project and honoring their great friend of the SVC, Harry Bell. Harry was an icon in the valley's growth, member of SCV Rotary, Charter member of Elks Lodge 2379, and a Shriner who flew disabled children up from Mexico for reconstruction surgery to Shriners Hospital in LA. Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary: Would love your help in supporting their member, Tore Knos who will be hiking the 2,185 mile Appalachian Trail starting on March 22. The trail runs from Springer Mountain, Georgia to Mount Katahdin, Maine and will take approximately 6 months finishing in mid September. Tore's experiences in Rotarian International Humanitarian Projects inspired him to use the pledges that he receives to provide a database for sanitation related projects and research.
