One of the most critical problems today is an out-of-balance global carbon cycle. The world's demands for energy, now being met by burning fossil fuel, has resulted in carbon emissions that are 10 - 20 times higher than in pre-industrial times. Horst Simon, Deputy Laboratory Directory at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will share research being done as part of Berkeley Lab's work of "Bringing Science Solutions to the World." He will also give Rotarians an update on the lab's current plans, including its new Richmond Bay Campus.
