| The Rotarians of the Rotary Clubs of District 5890 give freely of their time, talents and treasures to better the lives of those in our communities both locally and internationally. This you will be able to witness by the postings on this district website, the individual club websites, our Facebook page and our YouTube postings. I encourage the public to support these hard working Rotarians and should you be so inclined, I invite you to join us as we promote our core values of service, fellowship, diversity, integrity and leadership in all the things we do. |
Our theme for 2012-13 is “Peace Through Service”. Isn’t this a fitting theme for the times we are living? By helping others and putting their needs before our own, we truly fulfill Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”. By every random act of kindness and compassion, we can spread peace one person at a time and slowly spread peace through our families and communities, both locally and internationally.
Peace begins from within and is much more than the absence of war or conflict. Rotary is the ideal vehicle to bring “Peace Through Service” so let us go forth and be the lights that set the example of our theme for this year.
