"Australian Rotary Health - Companion Certificate"

I am pleased to invite you to attend a dinner organized by the 2014 Conference Committee to be held at Auchendarroch House, Mt Barker on Friday 21st November.

The main purpose of the  Dinner is to hear a presentation by Dr Felice Jacka who was one of the outstanding key note speakers at the Warrnambool Conference.

A  certificate for a Companion  of Australian Rotary Health will be presented to Felice. We are in a position to make this presentation to Felice as the Conference committee achieved a excellent surplus of funds from the conference.

These funds were due to very strong support from Sponsors and greater than expected attendance by Rotarians and partners.
The surplus funds have been donated to Rotary Foundation $15,000, ROMAC $7,000 , Polio Plus $5000 and to Australian Rotary Health $5,000.

The donation to ARH allows us the privilege to award a  Companion certificate  and we have selected Felice to receive this for the outstanding work she has done in research into Mental Health in conjunction with ARH.

The 3 course Dinner will be a night of interesting speakers, a return of our Bush Story Teller, Trevor and Rotary fellowship with the cost being $45pp.

We look forward to you attending this Dinner and suggest that you might like to make up a table of ten with your friends and Rotarian members to again have a Whale of a Time remembering Warrnambool.

"Join the Soroptomists Community Walk - see Download Files"

Dear Rotary club members

Soroptimist International is a worldwide Women’s Service Organisation, which upholds the Status of Women and supports and develops programs to improve the health and education of women and their families throughout the world. Our organisation has NGO Advisory Status at the United Nations, has clubs in all continents and is widespread through many countries. As Soroptimists we feel mandated to work towards the eradication of violence against women and girls.

Last year 84 clubs in the 13 countries of SI Federation South West pacific participated in highlighting the Stop Violence against Women Campaign with events involving walking. In the Region South Australia, each of the 6 country clubs arranged its own special day.

On Sunday morning November 23rd 2014 the four metropolitan clubs are combining to stage a community walk from Parliament House Steps to the Soroptimist Friendship Tree in the Botanic Gardens.

We have extended invitations to a number of politicians and other service organisations to join us.

We would be delighted if Rotary club members could join us.

I have included a flyer of the event, if you require any further information please feel free to email me.

With Kind Regards
Louise Bruce
