George Jacob: President & CEO, Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum Executive Director, River of Death and Discovery Museum Society Trained at the Smithsonian as an intern, educated at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science formerly under the MIT-Ford Foundation collaboration, University of Toronto and Yale School of Management, George Jacob is known internationally for spearheading stellar museum planning and design-build assignments and is one of the leading museum thinkers of our times.  A Canadian Commonwealth Scholar, his museum design-build portfolio can be seen in 11 countries including Dubai, Singapore, India, France, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Egypt and across United States. Founding Director of 3 museums in his career, his museology discourses and Op-Eds address urban development, creating cultural capital, museum architecture, design and leadership. He is credited with developing the first Masters Studio in Museum Design at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba and is the Author of several seminal books on the future of museum practice, including Museum Design: The FUTURE and its sequel Exhibit Design: The FUTURE. He is also an Adjunct Professor for Cultural Leadership & Diplomacy Executive Program at the University of Texas (PB). He currently serves on the Peer Review Board of the American Alliance for Museums. He was honored to be the Project Director for the production of the 1812 Star Spangled Banner permanent exhibit- Smithsonian’s most treasured national icon- rededicated to the nation by President George W. Bush in November 2008 at the National Museum of American History in Washington DC.
