"April is Rotary Magazine Month"

Committees will meet in lieu of having a speaker tonight.

After conducting committee business, each table will be asked to come up with a favorite Luna Vista project and then champion that idea as a possible Rotarian article.

Think about it, the articles in each month's Rotarian educate, inspire and challenge us.  Every club has a story to tell and many are worthy of publication.  This meeting could be a jumping off point for formally presenting a success story about Luna Vista.  Maybe it will simply be posted as a few paragraphs in an online forum, or become a story submitted to the Daily Democrat.  But maybe, just maybe, we can tell the tale of the little club that could; and how we did it.

"Photovoltaic Systems - Lease or Purchase? Which is best for you?"

To own, or not to own?  That is the question.

We all know that solar panels are a pretty good idea for most home owners, but the nagging question remains: is it a far better thing... to lease a system with near zero up front costs, or finance a system and own it forever?  Eric Darling, of Solar City, will provide us with all of the facts and figures we need to help make an informed and intelligent decision.  Learn why the notable name behind the Solar City name thinks leasing is beneficial for the homeowner and for his own bottom line.

"Marketing Woodland To The World"

Come hear the bright new member of the Yolo County Visitor's Bureau, as she enlightens us about the most current ways to draw more visitors to our fair city.  Targeted marketing, to the demographics of Woodland's signature events, is key to improving our visibility.  Getting active people, who live within driving distance of Woodland, to view Yolo County as a destination weekend location is a great way of getting folks' discretionary dollars spent here.  Perhaps we should all suggest some clever phrases to help make her marketing job easier.  How about, "Stay and Play in Woodland and Capay."  OK, maybe I better not give up my day job...  susan
