"Club members to spruce up Calhoun Park"

It is our pleasure to assist the New Berlin Parks Department by helping to spruce up Calhoun Park. Club members will don work gloves, and dig into an assortment of tasks to make Calhoun Park and even nicer place to enjoy a summer day or a softball game.

Because of this project, we will not have a regular meeting on this day. We'll be back at the New Berlin Hills clubhouse on June 12.

"At Stonefire Pizza - to support YMCA's Splash Program"

Enjoy some great fun and great pizza as you help support a worthy cause. The Rotary Club of New Berlin, in conjunction with Stonefire Pizzza Co., is hosting an exclusive Family Fun Fest on August 11. Proceeds from this event will go toward YMC's Splash Program.

Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of death for children ages 1-14 years of age in the United States. 19% of the drownings occur in public pools that have certified lifeguards on duty. The majority of these drownings occurs due to lack of formal training, poor supervision of children, and lack of safety precautions when boating.

The Splash program was created by the YMCA to help reach the younger population in our communities who needed to be taught the safety skills need to be safe in and around water. After extensive research they decided to target the 2nd grade age group. The program is designed to teach basic water safety around pools and waterfronts as well as water ways in the community. The design has a classroom portion as well as a pool portion. At the pool we have the kids practice the safety skills they learned in the classroom portion of the program to reinforce these lifesaving lessons. They get some free time/open swim time as well.

Family Fun Fest runs from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Stonefire Pizza Co. is offering a family four-pack for only $59.90. The event is closed to the general public;  you must purchase tickets in advance. For more information, contact Jeff Hoffman at 414.322.4778 or email to jhoffman@judsonrealestate.com Stonefire Pizza Co. is located at 5320 S. Moorland Rd.
