Dr. James Mahar from Kenmore Chiropractic was our speaker.  Jim grew up in the Bay area but decided to go to school in Oregon because it was sort of a hippie redneck kind of place.  While attending college he suffered with back and leg pain from various sports injuries.  A trainer from the women’s rugby team, which was helping coach, applied some massage treatment to the back.  It felt much better, but it kept coming back.  The trainer introduced Jim to a chiropractor, and the ‘quack’ fixed the problem.  Jim graduated from the University of Nike and received his doctorate in chiropractic from Western State.
